Talking to Susan always makes me feel more balanced.
I can call her crying, professing my complete and utter idiocy, psychotic tendencies, and general inability to cope with life, yet in a few minutes she’ll have me at least quiet and able to listen. Give her a few more minutes, and she’ll have me seeing things as they actually are.

The best part is that, since she’s Susan, I know that she really would tell me if I was being crazy.

Thank you Susan.

When something bothers me, first I talk about it with the source, then I generally have some patience at first, but if nothing changes I start getting sassy.

And I know that doesn’t help anything- it does just the opposite, but it’s just an emotional response because I’m hurt or confused by the continued behaviour.

  • Matt: Tomorrow will be great! TGIF and all that jazz! Or hip hop, if that's more your thing. Maybe rock. Or alternative. What kind of a genre name is alternative? To what? Everything? Hipsters.
  • Me: What are you trying to say right now?
  • Matt: Don't listen to country.

I apologise to all the class of 2013-ers who may be offended by my opinion of their graduation year.

Hopefully y’all are more creative than me and can think of a better slogan than “We’re unlucky.”
